TriFashion – Mezclado

The reasoning behind this title is because currently we are between seasons. Lost in transition between winter and spring. A little mezclado, mixed up. The sales still linger yet new seasons collections come in drifts and drabs. Where is the security of walking into a shop and finding that one item or pattern which is a definite ‘in thing.’?

When are we finally going to get to enjoy this seasons clothing? With woolly hats and gloves still necessary, It seems nothing less, than a little absurd to be thinking of purchasing open toed shoes and cropped trousers. Slowly, over where I am in Spain the new block colours are starting to flutter through out the stores. A fuscia pink there and an electric blue else where, yet with winter very much still upon us. How do we feel about wearing such vibrant colours? Are we ready to take the plunge? If you are ready to take this drab weather into the new season, I strongly suggest hitting Zara. Skinny jeans can be found in a number of colours from mint green to an eye opening orange, every vibrant and warming colour tone you can think of.

I’m thinking due to sunny Spain… being well… sunnier, they have the advantage of being in the forefront of fashion when it comes to the next two seasons. Soon this cold air will lift and T-shirts and lower cut tops will once again be acceptable. As Im not particularly sure if this wear is in the British stores yet, perhaps jumping on a jet plane to Spain to check out this seasons up and coming fashion would be a nice little adventure… of course, you could wait for the days of sun to show its unfamiliar face, however when that will be… nobody knows…

Of course a cheaper way to stay in the know is to check out the web. With Madrid fashion week just gone and having shown the new autumn/winter collections, you can be way ahead of the game and see what fashion statements will be occurring in the seasons to come. However, I know the thought of winter makes us all want to curl into a big ball and cry, so back to the impending seasons… La día de San Valentín, seems to have strongly made its mark with red being spread through out the stores, as most years we see the return of a somewhat sailor style, blue, red, white, stripes. Its all very much back. Also another must have colour is orange, in all varieties. Burnt orange, bright orange, to give your orange a little edge add something black with it, ie. A black leather jacket, black jewellery or a black bag. All in all, weather permitting we should be looking at a bright and vibrant spring… lets just hope it gets a move on. ¡vamos primavera!
