Ethos

Trisickle™: A paradox of freedoms gained and the danger of life’s own progressive nature. The ‘tricycle’, your first set of wheels, good feelings, the discovery of newfound freedoms and the ‘sickle’, symbol of mortality, the gnarl some edges mutually felt by a group ‘tri’, those who constantly push and witness life’s own evolution.

Real culture lives and thrives through that of inclusion, constantly mutating and evolving in the hands of new generations.

Trisickle is an exclusive urban street culture publication. We are inspired by art, photography, music, action sports, filming, fashion and street culture. As a brand we represent the national urban community and our publication is the perfect medium for unique and creative members of this community to communicate their talent. Discovering and featuring new talent is one of the central motivational factors behind our publication. With a talented and diverse new team on board, the Trisickle publication is gathering momentum like never before.

We’ve got History

Trisickle™ was originally created as a clothing brand by artist Ged Wells in 1999. First put into production in a one off collaboration with shoe designer Daita Kimura of ‘The Old Curiosity Shop’ London mainly for export to Japan.

2006-07 – The concept for a publication was launched. The original publication featured the dark elements of the Trisickle brand, developed by Ged, coupled with a spotlight on Skateboarding culture. Content was produced by individuals within the core of the UK skate lifestyle. The magazine was distributed free via UK Skate Shops & Parks. All involved were driven to provide an inclusive publication that would springboard a new generation of skateboarders, creatives and inspire self-determination as a remedy to the flat-lining generic global culture and UK identity.

Aug 2010 – Trisickle Magazine™ is re-established; a subculture lifestyle publication with content produced by individuals inspired by UK Street culture covering everything from art, in all its wonderful forms through to independent musicians, and new edgy fashion designers with a unique vision. The publication will embrace all elements of urban culture and will represent a new era of fresh innovation coupled with a burning desire to inspire, support, motivate and enable all patrons of alternative culture.

What makes us different?

We’re ready to push boundaries. We’re ready to create a space in the market, between an art and design magazine, a literary journal, and a disruption of rules. Celebrity-driven tabloids and other publications aren’t taking any chances these days.

We’re looking to spin emerging talent along with some fresh design into something really special and we want you to be a part of it.
