A little History
Trisickle is a clothing brand originally created by artist Ged Wells in 1999. First put into production in a one off collaboration with shoe designer Daita Kimura of 'The old Curiosity Shop' London mainly for export to Japan. Trisickle then sat dormant until 2006.
2006-07 using Trisickle’s dark tones Danny Jackson published three issues of Trisickle Magazine, a Skateboard lifestyle publication. Content was produced by individuals within the core of UK skate culture and distributed free via UK Skate Shops & Parks. All involved were driven to provide an inclusive publication that would springboard a new generation of skateboarders, creative’s and inspire self-determination as a remedy to the flat-lining generic global culture and UK identity. In order to concentrate on the clothing & product side Danny decided to put a holt on Trsickle as a skateboard magazine.
Trisickle: A paradox of freedoms gained and the danger of life's own progressive nature. The ‘tricycle’, your first set of wheels, good feelings, the discovery of newfound freedoms and the ‘sickle’, symbol of mortality, the gnarl some edges mutually felt by a group 'tri', those who constantly push and witness life's own evolution.
